Five new entry-level ES and Expression cars
We note that Vauxhall dealers in Northern Ireland are about to launch cheaper ES and Expression versions of 5 models in its range, with savings of nearly £4k!
The new Insignia ES comes in in place of the Insignia S, yet is slightly better equipped. It comes in saloon, hatchback and estate body styles and petrol and diesel engines.
Prices start at £17,120 for the 1.8 litre petrol five-door hatchback, which is more than £1,000 less than the cheapest Ford Focus, and £3,000 less than the cheapest Ford Mondeo.
There are five Vauxhall Astra ES models in the range and prices start at £15,375. The Astra Sports Hatch Expression is also £3,000 cheaper than the current entry-level model, however it’s not as well equipped.
The 1.0 Corsa Expression comes in £2,000 lower than the cheapest Corsa S, but it has wind up windows and manual door locking. With a 1.6-litre engine, the Zafira Expression has no roof rails and aircon, but at £14,995 it is nearly £4,000 cheaper than the Life model!
